Emergency Info

With orthodontic treatment, it is important to know that the true orthodontic emergencies are very rare. However, we strive to make sure you are always comfortable so please contact our office if anything seems to be hurting or bothering you.

Occasionally these emergencies may include a broken bracket or wire, loose attachment or button, poking wire, or loose band/appliance. Many orthodontic emergencies can be taken care of at home until you are able to be seen by our practice. The PDF document below will help you understand how to handle orthodontic emergencies or irritations until you can be seen by our doctor. If it is an issue that cannot be solved at home, we will always do our best to accommodate you and see you as soon as possible.

Foods to Avoid

It is very important to be cautious when eating certain foods listed in the PDF below because they have the potential to damage the braces and increase the treatment time. We understand that it is frustrating, but the wait will be worth it once you finish your treatment and achieve a beautiful new smile.
